Through a strange set of circumstances, I recieved some copies of letters I wrote my
Mom from Vietnam. They turned up in a very curious place that defies reasonable
explanation. Where ever they came from and how they got there, I am thankfull to have
them. I am finding them interesting to read, maybe you will too. This is the first one.
Thank you Pat and Roger (my Sister and Brother-in-law) for all the work of scanning
and e-mailling them! Thanks for sending them, Dana!
Love you guys

Many stories and experiences are missing from these letters, and some are difficult for me to put
in a time frame. A lot happened very fast when I was there, and most letters have no dates on
them. There may be changes to the order in which I have arranged them.

I doubt if most people will wade through much of this. I find it difficult myself now that it's
been here awhile and I peruse it with a fairly fresh eye. This seems a good place to store it
for whatever purposes, and is, after all, an important bit of evidence. In what court? For
the prosecution or defense? One can only surmise; it could weigh heavily either way..
