Another Day in the Jungle

I forgot what the critics said about Hancock, but I remembered it being great with popcorn and a coke at the matinée in
Panama, so who cares about the critics.. especially after the fact?  I just use em to help me decide which flicks to go to,
when I have the luxury of choice.  I also enjoy them just for the writing sometimes.  They did get me hot about
Iron
Man
.. it sucks having to wait.

Are you off today?  I am.  I woke to the sound of machetes hacking through green shit, and remembered Matilda was
scheduled to do "The Yard".  I have a tricky bit for him, if he chooses to accept.  I want him to go up the river a little
from my property and cut some high stuff that blocks my view of the water.  It's not technically mine to have cut..but I
don't think anyone will care.  I hope he has his tall boots on...I mean..
I wouldn't want to do it.  Be right back..he's out in
front now so I gotta go talk to him.  He has a helper today..good..I have more work than usual for him.  The place may
not need much more cutting as things dry out..but they will grow pretty well for awhile.  They are all over it.

Your empathy toward the fatso in the shower was touching.  It brings to mind the adage, "You've got to be cruel to be
kind".  Sometimes tough love is just the ticket.  Did you tell them to call the fire department too?  Sometimes ambulance
drivers need a little back-up.

I remember a fatso name Lottie (Something).  She lived in The Projects off Haight Street, near Fillmore, and was about
400 pounds.  She had Grand Mal type seizures and was devoid of handles.  We had to get the fire department help us
get her into the ambulance..on a Friday Night on Lower Haight.  A crowd formed around us and as I tried to get the
crowd to back up, one of the more boisterous ones got snippy with me about touching him.  It got tense, but somehow
we got the fat bitch into the van and made off without further incident.

Matilda and his partner are taking a lunch break (0800), with some vodka and coke.  I supplied the cups and ice.  They
start early in these parts, Gonz Bless em.

I guess Matilda got attacked by some biting ants while in the thick of it down by the river.  He seems all better now, and
they are heading back to work.  Where's my whip?  Goddammit..I can never find that whip.

I can see the river much better now, but he advises me some of which I wanted cut would get the unwanted attention of
some Government Agency I didn't want attention from...so it's not quite as defoliated as I dreamed..but sometimes you
just get what you need.

AH yes..a Beta Fish..you could take him to work with you.  What fun!  Do they learn tricks?

I'm going through the bi-yearly tick battles now.  It seems to happen at both weather changes.  I need to give
Muttinhead a good haircut for the Summer anyhow, so I think today I will do that.  She went and got a shitload of
stickers this morning, just to complicate the process, so I have my work cut out for me.  It will help having Matilda cut
down the sticker plants on the property too.  I think that is going to be their next line of attack...but they are still sitting
around admiring their previous work.

I wanted to get a movie or two from Trey at The Tucan yesterday, but he's back in The States, and doesn't want to let
any movies go out till he returns..fuck.  Iron Man must be floating ariound here somewhere.

Well...hope you have a good weekend,
