John is visiting and staying in the cabin for a few weeks.
He has property across the Uvita River which is difficult
to cross this time of year and he found an old cable
crossing with metal chair and so forth, which seems to
be getting use, so we walked up to check it out.
Upon close inspection, the contraption seemed in
good working order, yet not necessarily strong
enough for the likes of us 200 (plus) pounder types.
The wood platform was quite rotted out,
and one step gave way under my heft.
Our unanimous decision was that if we lived on the other side and just had to get home, or if perhaps there was a suitcase with 100
large in it somewhere on the other side, it would be worth the risk.  Otherwise we chose to live and fight yet another day.

Some leaf-eaters making off with a
bounty of purple flowers.  These
photos don't do the scene justice.
Happy to be alive..ALIVE! I SAY!  It's alive!
If I could explain this operation I would.
