MORE BUGS!
These are pics of a scorpion I clubbed on the head with a
cocktail glass as it made it's way across my coffee table. I
swept it out the front door and took pics of it on the concrete
in front of the house. It was remarkably healthy looking,
considering all the blunt trauma to the head it sustained. It's
effrontery provoked me.
Happily, and due to little pro-activation on my part, the
scorpion interactions have waned to a mere token of their
glory days, here at the new house.
The bastards. I don't see one for a week, then there's a
little one streaking across my desk right at me!
I dispatched that with a hard pack of Marlboros (no photo).

My neighbor, Mark,
sent me this photo of
Mama Scorpion
covered with her
darling children. I'm
not sure what the worm
is up to.
1-21-2008 I took a pic
of this preying mantis
that has been making
himself home here (for
a week or so) this
morning. He seems to
like my old mermaid
doll Gloria gave me for
my sailboat many years
ago. I never noticed
how moldy her face
had gotten till looking
at the photos. I
washed her up, after
gently removing the
mantis, then tried to
get him back on, he
was having none of it.
No retakes.

Noah called this
an Owl Moth,
so that's what it
is.
Would you like to swing on a star
Carry moonbeams home in a jar
And be better off than you are
Or would you rather be a mule?
And all the monkeys arent in a zoo
Every day you meet quite a few
So you see its all up to you
You can be better than you are
You could be swinging on a star
A stand-off
These are un-retouched photos folks. Good thing it wasn't
aggressive or nasty tempered. We almost became friends by the
time I was done photographing it. I really jumped when I first noticed it
by the front door and it fluttered against my elbow as I walked past.
